Manoj Bajpayee’s Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai to be screened at New York International Film Festival this week

Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the courtroom drama will premiere on ZEE5 from May 23

Manoj Bajpayee’s courtroom drama Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai will be screened at the New York Indian Film Festival on May 13.

Presented by Zee Studios and Bhanushali Studios Limited, the Apoorv Singh Karki-helmed movie is inspired by true events. It is the story of a high court lawyer who singlehandedly fought an extraordinary case for the rape of a minor under the POCSO Act.

Manoj will leave for New York tonight to attend the screening and take part in a Q&A session right after. The New York Indian Film Festival took to Instagram on Wednesday to confirm the actor’s presence at the post-screening session. “@bajpayee.manoj live in person at the post screening Q&A for his film Bandaa at the New York Indian Film Festival on May 13,” they wrote.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Asif Sheikh and Vishal Gurnani and co-produced by Juhi Parekh Mehta. The film will premiere on ZEE5 on May 23.
