With Lakme Fashion Week wrapping up on Sunday night, the jury is out on the best showstoppers from Bollywood. From lehengas paired with keyboards to a collection of gorgeous patterns on stage, here’s a rundown of the 10 best celebrity runway looks from this edition.
Kriti Sanon
Mimi actress Kriti Sanon was the showstopper for Shantanu & Nikhil on the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week. Her ivory lehenga with a modern draping and a sweetheart neckline blouse made for a glam way to start off the fashion week.
Malaika Arora
Sashaying down in the label Limerick by Abirr n Nanki, Malaika Arora stole the show on the second day of Lakme Fashion Week. The 48-year-old actress-model looked stunning in a blue skirt-and-bikini top set with a flowy shrug and slicked-back hair.
Sanjana Singh
One of the best outfits to have come out of this edition of Lakme Fashion Week was Anju Modi’s traditional Maharashtrian sari with a twist, worn by Dil Bechara actress Sanjana Singh. A maroon crop top and a black Benarasi draped Maharashtrian-style, paired with a black crop jacket, a colorful purple shela and traditional juttis made for a stunning outfit.
Mouni Roy
Brahmastra’s main villain Mouni Roy looked like a dream in a cream lehenga choli set with brown and pink embellished work, designed by Payal Singhal. The georgette lehenga was paired with just a maangtika and subtle makeup.
Tara Sutaria
Ek Villain Returns actress Tara Sutaria was the showstopper for Aisha Rao’s label. The actress wore their signature black applique lehenga with motifs, inspired by the complex geometries and the Expressionist vision of the panoramas in Barcelona. The lehenga was paired with a black veil and a statement necklace that accentuated the off-shoulder blouse.
Aditi Rao Hydari
The Padmaavat actress channelled regal power as showstopper for designer Gaurang Shah’s Label. Aditi strutted down the runway in a golden lehenga choli and sheer red dupatta with embroidery detailing. Statement jhumkas, nose pin, classic red bangles and a messy hairdo completed the look.
Vijay Varma
Darlings main man Vijay Varma became the showstopper for Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia’s brand, Nirmooha. Varma dressed up in a neon T-shirt-and-pants set with a contrasting flowy jacket from the collection Magical Wilderness.
Ananya Panday
Ananya went full Gen-Z in her orange outfit from Pankaj & Nidhi’s collection ‘Solaris’ – a palette that consisted of shades of orange, amber and yellow to describe buoyant and vivid visuals. The Liger actress donned a structured orange embellished blazer dress with a low-neck collar.
Sidharth Malhotra
Shershaah actor Sidharth Malhotra walked the ramp in an all-black outfit by Gaurav Gupta — a shimmery black T-shirt with leather pants and a shimmery black blazer embellished with crystals.
Kunal Kapoor
Rang De Basanti actor Kunal Kapoor walked the ramp on the fourth day of the fashion week as the showstopper for couture brand SVA by Sonam & Paras Modi. The actor was dressed head to toe in a printed outfit from the ‘Mor Aur Fuaara’ collection. The quirky green, blue and pink co-ord set was paired with cream and brown loafers.
