Yash Dasgupta and Nusrat Jahan mark their debut as film producers with their project initially titled Mentaaal, announced in June last year. However, a last-minute decision led to the film being renamed Sentimentaaal. The storyline explores the breakdown of law and order in Raghunathpur, dominated by the influential and corrupt politician Rudhani Didimoni (Sayantani Ghosh). Yash takes on the role of an upright police officer who finds himself entangled in a romance with Nussrat Jahan.
