Actor Mahesh Babu exudes swag in a lungi in two new character posters released by the makers of his upcoming film Guntur Kaaram on the occasion of the Telugu star’s 48th birthday on August 9.
The first poster shows a lungi-clad Mahesh Babu lighting a bidi with matches and looking through his black shades.
Production house Haarika & Hassine Creations posted the poster on Twitter to give Mahesh Babu fans a treat on their favourite actor’s birthday. “Wishing a spectacular Happy Birthday to the Reigning Superstar, @urstrulymahesh garu! 🤩 #HBDSuperstarMaheshBabu ✨ Your unparalleled on-screen brilliance coupled with your genuine off-screen humility continues to set a remarkable standard of inspiration 🌟🎉,” they wrote on the microblogging platform.
The next poster, dropped in the evening, shows the actor sporting a red headband and looking unfazed even as he confronts a gang.

Written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram marks Mahesh Babu’s third collaboration with the director after Athadu and Khaleja. The film, previously titled SSMB28, also stars Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakashraj and Sunil.
Guntur Kaaram will hit the cinemas on January 12, 2024.
