Neeraj Pandey’s sports drama film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story will be re-released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in theatres on May 12.
Star Studios took to Twitter to announce the news along with a poster of the film. “Jab Mahi phir pitch pe aayega, pura India sirf "Dhoni! Dhoni! Dhoni!" chilaayega. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story Re-Releasing in cinemas on 12th May,” the tweet reads.
The makers have decided to re-release the biopic of the former Indian captain in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu as the wicketkeeper-batsman is rumoured to be playing his last season in this edition of the Indian Premier League with Chennai Super Kings.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film features the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput as MS Dhoni. It also stars Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Bhumika Chawla and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
Disha Patani, who made her Hindi debut film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story took to her Instagram Stories to show her excitement over the re-release of the film. The Radhe actress reshared the poster of the film and wrote, “Very grateful for this one❤”

“The re-release aims to give his fans across the country another chance to relive cricket’s most magical moments on the big screen,” said Bikram Duggal, head of Disney Star studios.
Initially released on September 30, 2016, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story went on to gross over Rs 210 crore at the worldwide box office.
