Madonna pens emotional note for loved ones after hospital stay: ‘Thank you to all my angels who protected me’

The 64-year-old singer was rushed to a New York hospital last month for a bacterial infection

Madonna has written a heartfelt thank-you note for her kids and loved ones for their support during her hospital stay for a bacterial infection last month.

Sharing images with her children on Instagram on Sunday, the 64-year-old pop icon reflected on the emotional support given to her by her children. “Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect. As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving……….. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference,” she wrote.

The singer-songwriter, who is a mother of six children, also thanked her friends and everyone who protected her during her recent illness. “So did the love and support from my friends. If you zoom into this Picture I am holding You will see A Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s face painted on it. A perfect triangle of Brilliance. Artists who touched so many lives including my own,” she continued.

Madonna also shared an image of a special motivational artefact in her possession. “I sobbed when I opened this gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone,” she wrote.

“Thank you @guyoseary for this gift!,” Madonna signed off, after including the name of her longtime manager in her list. “And Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work! ♥️.”

Madonna’s latest post comes days after the singer gave her fans a health update following her release from the hospital. Last month, the singer was rushed to a New York hospital and had to be treated for a bacterial infection.

In a video shared on Instagram, Madonna showed off her dance moves and celebrated the 40th anniversary of her debut album Madonna.

“To be able to move my body and dance just a little bit makes me feel like the Luckiest Star in the world! Thank you to all of my fans and friends! You must be my lucky stars too! And Happy 40th Birthday to my very. First Album- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,” wrote the Vogue singer.
