Lyricist Kausar Munir has joined the upcoming musical Tanvi the Great, announced the film’s director Anupam Kher on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the actor-filmmaker made the announcement on X, thanking Kausar for writing lyrics for the songs composed by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani for his debut directorial project.
“ANNOUNCEMENT: Happy, Delighted and Honoured to present Ms. Kausar Munir, the hugely talented lyricist of my directorial film #TanviTheGreat. She has added magic to the songs composed by #MMKeeravani sir with her soulful lyrics,” wrote Anupam on the microblogging site alongside a picture with Kausar and Keeravani.
Anupam went on to thank Kausar for the making of the songs for Tanvi the Great. I am fortunate to have you in our team of remarkable technicians. Jai Ho! ,” he also wrote.
“I am honoured to be a part of the Tanvi the Great family led by our amazing director Anupam Kher,” Kausar said in a statement.
“Tanvi the Great is that rare film which combined the opportunity to convey a wonderful message. Thank you, Anupam Sir, for the most fun, most warm, most memorable music-making experience with you and the maestro M.M Keeravani Sir,” she added.
Kausar started her career in television with Mona Singh-starrer Indian soap opera Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin in 2003. She is best known for her work in films like Ek Tha Tiger, Padman, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dear Zindagi, 83, Secret Superstar, Jubilee and Gehraiyaan.
Produced under Anupam Kher Studios, Tanvi the Great went on the floors on March 8. Its release date is yet to be revealed by the makers.
