Following the release of Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao and Kathikeya’s Bedurulanka 2012 trailers, the makers of several upcoming Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look.
Lucky Man (Tamil)
Think Music India shared the official trailer of Tamil-language film Lucky Man. Written and directed by Balaji Venugopal, the film stars Yogi Babu, Veera, Raichal Rabecca, Abdool Lee and R S Shivaji.
The two-minute-10-second-long clip follows an ‘unlucky man’, who is a loving father and a caring husband. After buying a new car, the man becomes a suspect of the police due to his identity swap. This makes his family life miserable and he vows to make things right.
Lucky Man will release on September 1.
Boys Hostel (Telugu)
MRT Music released the official theatrical trailer of Telugu-language film Boys Hostel. It is the remake of the Kannada film Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare. Directed by Nithin Krishnamurthy, the film features cameos from Rishab Shetty, Pawan Kumar, Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, Shine Shetty and Rashmi Gautam.
The three-minute-45-second-long trailer shows crazy events inside a boys’ hostel where animosity between the residents and the warden goes to a whole new level. Filled with situational comedy and star-studded cameos, the film promises to take us on a wild journey.
Boys Hostel will arrive in cinemas on August 26.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A) (Karnataka)
Paramvah Studios released the official teaser of Kannada-language romantic drama film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A). This is the first part of a film series written and directed by Hemanth M Rao. It stars Rakshit Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Chaithra J Achar, Avinash, Sharath Lohitashwa and Achyutha Kumar.
In the three-minute-14-second-long trailer, we see an epic love story between Rakshit and Rukmini. Set against the backdrop of a cotton mill, the story follows the trial and tribulations faced by the couple.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A) will arrive in cinemas on September 1.
Vaathil (Malayalam)
The official trailer of Malayalam film Vaathil was launched by Saregama Malayalam. Helmed by Ramakanth Sarju, the film stars Vinay Fort, Anu Sithara, Krishna Shankar, Merin Philip and Anjali Nair.
In the two-minute-long trailer, Vinay and Anu are seen playing a couple who run an interior design firm. However, their marriage is already facing problems. The clip also shows glimpses of violence.
