Debchandrima Sinha Ray and Anindya Sengupta’s new series Preme Pora Baron on Addatimes has connected with the audience. “We have received a lot of positive feedback about the show. The audience started showing interest after the first look was launched. We are still getting many phone calls and messages. Preme Pora Baron is an intense love story and I’m grateful that people are loving it. We hope to create more intense and emotional stories in the future,” said director Arijeet Toton Chakraborty.

The story follows Rono (played by Anindya) and Mitul (played by Debchandrima), whose love defies societal norms, transcending envy, violence, caste, nationality, and religion. Despite their contrasting personalities — Rono’s aggression and Mitul’s calmness — they strive for change. Rono seeks calmness, and Mitul gathers the courage to stand by him. Yet, societal restrictions loom, and their forbidden love becomes a storm.

“My chemistry with Debchandrima is being appreciated by everyone who has watched the show. The best part is that people are loving the story,” said Anindya.

Debchandrima feels love is a journey of self-discovery. “Preme Pora Baron explores love that lacks reciprocity. Mitul, a simple girl, embraces love for Rono, unable to express it openly. But the genuineness in love prevails. Every failed relationship becomes a step towards finding a true connection. I have received so much love for portraying Mitul and I’m glad that girls all around me have related with the character. I’m glad I could do justice to my character,” says Debchandrima. “We have brought relatable characters to life, weaving a story intricately tied to our city’s pulse. It’s a fresh narrative about the universal theme of love in uncharted territory,” adds Arijeet.
