Sooraj Pancholi, who has had just one film in four years, is looking forward to his second music video Dim Dim Lights, opposite Larissa Bonesi.

His first was in 2016 with Jacqueline Fernandez — GF BF. “The first video with Jacqueline was very successful. When Jackky Bhagnani called me and told me to be a part of Dim Dim Light, I immediately said yes. It’s a lovely romantic number composed by Rahul Jain.”

The actor’s second film — Satellite Shankar directed by Irfan Kamal — is releasing on Friday.

“It’s a very simple and honest film, about an army soldier who wishes to meet his mother,” Sooraj said about the film. “He leaves for his holidays but faces a lot of trouble on his journey. And the day he finally meets his mother he has to go back to his base. There’s not much of romance in the film. I was required to look like a soldier so I was asked to shed a lot of weight.”

The actor’s first film Hero didn’t fare well at the box office but he hopes better fortunes for Satellite Shankar. “If not for me, at least for the sake of my parents who have stood by me through thick and thin,” the actor said of his parents, actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.

Next, he will have Stanley D’Costa’s Time to Dance which also stars Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabelle Kaif. “We have seven days’ shoot left for that film. I have signed another film but I can’t reveal the details now. The producers will announce soon.”

Although a star-son, Sooraj does not have too many friends from the industry. “Most of my friends are from outside, but Athiya Shetty is one of my friends and so is Tiger (Shroff). We do not communicate much but we are friends.”
