Actor Vijay plays a police inspector who single-handedly takes on a serial killer and villains from his past in the trailer of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming Tamil-language action thriller Leo.

Dropped on Thursday, the two-minute-43-second-long video presents Vijay’s inspector Leo Das as a family man, who is married to Trisha Krishnan’s character and has a daughter. His violent past catches up with him when he is forced to pit his wits against a serial killer loose on the snow-covered Kashmir valley. Supervillains, played by Arjun Sarja and Sanjay Dutt, and their henchmen from Leo’s past hunt him down. The video shows Vijay going into full action mode to protect himself and his family to exterminate once and for all the threats he has been hiding from.

While Vijay looks determined in his salt-and-pepper look, Sanjay Dutt looks intense as the gangster boss who will not spare Leo’s life for something that the latter had done in the past.

The third film in the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe, Leo has been co-produced by SS Lalit Kumar’s Seven Screen Studio and Jagadish Palanisamy. The film’s soundtrack has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It is preceded by Kaithi (2019) and Vikram (2022) in the director’s cinematic universe.

Leo will release in theatres on October 19.
