Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for the 2021 actioner Master and the 2023 thriller Leo, is set to make his acting debut with the music video of Tamil song Inimel, composed by actress-singer Shruti Haasan and penned by her father Kamal Haasan.
Sharing a teaser of the music video on Instagram on Thursday, the 38-year-old actress wrote, “#Inimel the game begins from 25th March. Mark the Moment.”
The short teaser video captures Shruti and Lokesh’s crackling on-screen chemistry. They are seen embracing each other inside an empty theatre, on the streets and in their living room. The video ends with Shruti romancing Lokesh — both clad in ethnic ensembles.
The Waltair Veerayya actress had recently shared a poster of the music video which shows her playing a video game with Lokesh. “No Winners No Losers, #Inimel only Players,” Shruti had written alongside her post on Instagram.
Inimel, co-produced by R. Mahendran, is slated to drop on March 25.
Lokesh is currently working on his next directorial venture starring Rajinikanth. The film, produced by Sun Pictures, is tentatively titled Thalaivar 171.
Shruti, on the other hand, will appear in the Hindi-Telugu bilingual film Dacoit opposite Adivi Sesh later this year. She will also star in the English romcom Chennai Story, directed by Bafta-winning Welsh director Philip John. Based on Timeri N. Murari's 2004 novel The Arrangements of Love, the film will also feature Lift actor Viveik Kalra.
