Disney+ has unveiled a teaser for their upcoming Star Wars special LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. Helmed by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, the creative minds behind last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, the animated special is scheduled to premiere on September 13.
“History will be rebuilt. Watch the new teaser trailer for LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, arriving September 13, only on @DisneyPlus,” the makers posted on X alongside the one-minute-long teaser.
The upcoming animated special, a four-part adventure, comprises an ensemble voice cast including Gaten Matarazzo (as Sig Greebling), Tony Revolori (as Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (as Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (as Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (as Servo), Ahmed Best (as Darth Jar Jar), and Mark Hamill (reprising his role as Luke Skywalker).
In LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, chaos ensues across the Star Wars universe as an ordinary nerf-herder named Sig Greebling stumbles upon the potent Cornerstone artifact hidden within a secluded Jedi temple. Suddenly thrust into a whirlwind adventure, Sig finds himself navigating a topsy-turvy version of the galaxy. Now the onus is on him to restore order.
While Chris Buckley has directed the episodes of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, Daniel Cavey and Dan Langlois have handled the production. The executive production team includes Hernandez, Samit, James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler, and Keith Malone.
