Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda’s smooth romance turns sour after marriage in Telugu-language romantic comedy film Kushi’s trailer as their families continue to disavow the newlyweds.

Dropped by Mythri Movie Makers on Wednesday, the two-minute-45-second-long trailer begins with Vijay spotting Samantha amid the snow-capped landscape of Kashmir and instantly falling for her. They soon fall in love and marry in spite of opposition from their families. But their married life soon gets edgy with misunderstandings and regular fights. The clip, packed with romance and emotional moments, promises a film that will show how the young couple overcome all the odds to live happily ever after.

Sharing an image On Instagram, both Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda wrote, “It's here. This Aug 9th. 2 mins 41 secs of #KushiTrailer ❤️ #Kushi Releasing worldwide Sept 1!”

Written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Y under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. The film also features Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedekar, Vennela Kishore and Rahul Ramakrishna.

Kushi will arrive in cinemas on September 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
