The makers of Kubera have dropped a first-look teaser of the upcoming film, offering a glimpse of Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh’s characters.
The 52-second-long teaser shows Dhanush as a happy slum-dweller. The scene shifts to Nagajuna’s character, a man living in a city with his wife and daughter. Jim portrays a rich businessman and Rashmika plays a woman who is tired of her middle-class lifestyle.
At the end of the video, Dhanush is shown in traditional attire at a temple. However, he doesn’t look as happy as he was at the beginning of the teaser.
“Experience the exciting upcoming pan-India movie "#KuberaGlimpse" featuring Dhanush, King Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, under the direction of Sekhar Kammula and music by Devi Sri Prasad,” reads the description of the teaser on YouTube.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Kubera is Dhanush's 51st film, which was announced in March. The story depicts the legend of Kubera, the wealthiest deity in Hindu mythology.
Set to release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, Kubera marks the first collaboration between director Sekhar Kammula and Dhanush. Slated to release in December this year, it also marks Dhanush’s debut in Telugu cinema.
Kubera is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, in association with Sekhar Kammula’s Amigos Creations Pvt LTD.
