Actress Kriti Sanon’s debut production venture Do Patti, also starring Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh, is trending at No. 1 on Netflix, she said in a social media post on Monday.
“Do Patti at ek number ♠️♥️ Loving the audience love pouring in.. ♥️ Watch on Netflix if you haven’t,” Kriti, who played a double role in the film, wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the film.
Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, the narrative of Do Patti unfolds in the fictional hillside village of Devipur, where police inspector Vidya Jyothi (Kajol) is drawn into a series of unsettling events connected to Saumya (Kriti Sanon) and her husband, Dhruv Sood (Shaheer Sheikh). When Saumya's twin sister, Shailee (also played by Kriti Sanon), makes an unexpected arrival at the hill station, Vidya's curiosity deepens, leading her to question whether anything in this tangled web of deception and ambiguity is truly what it seems.
Along with Kriti’s venture Blue Butterfly Pictures, the film is co-produced by Kanika Dhillon’s Kathha Pictures. Dhillon has also written the story of Do Patti.
The film marks Kriti’s second collaboration with Kajol after Rohit Shetty’s 2015 romantic action comedy Dilwale. The thriller also introduces Shaheer Sheikh, a familiar face in Indian television, to the big screen and stars Tanvi Azmi, Brijendra Kala, Vidushi Manaduli and Danish Kalra in key roles.
