Sharing a hilarious clip from her recent romcom Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Kriti Sanon has expressed her love for comedy and comic roles written especially for female protagonists.

The clip features Kriti’s Sifra, a humanoid robot for whom Shahid Kapoor’s character fell head over heels.

“I’ve always enjoyed comedy, and not much of it is written for women in films! Glad to have gotten a role like SIFRA that could make people laugh while they fell in love with her too,” the 33-year-old actress wrote alongside her post on Wednesday.

The clip portrays a bone-tickling conversation between a police officer and Kriti’s Sifra. When asked to provide her full name, Sifra replies, “Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation”. Bewildered, the officer asks her if she is from southern India. Responding in a squeaky voice, Sifra says that she is from America.

The video posted by Kriti was recorded inside a movie hall and peals of laughter from the audience almost drowned the rest of the dialogues.

In her caption, Kriti stresses the importance of genuine laughter. “This laughter is everything. When you can hear the audience genuinely enjoy the film— Best feeling ever,” it reads.

Produced under Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was released theatrically on February 9.
