Janhvi Kapoor inadvertently let out boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya’s pet name, while Khushi Kapoor played coy with host Karan Johar about her rumoured relationship with Vedang Raina in the new teaser of Koffee With Karan Season 8’s upcoming episode featuring the siblings.

Dropped by the makers on Monday, the video shows Janhvi naming “Papa, Khushu” and then blurting out “Shiku”, the pet name of her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, as the persons on her speed dial. Khushi, however, remained tight-lipped about her rumoured relationship with Archies co-star Vedang Raina. “Om and I were just good friends”, she said, referring to a scene from Shah Rukh Khan’s 2007 film Om Shanti Om.

While Janhvi appeared on the show in a red satin cut-out dress with halter straps, Khushi went for a dewy look in a strapless yellow mini-dress.

Admitting that she went around asking people at a party to throw rapid-fire questions at her, Janhvi sheepishly said Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda had advised her to not appear on Koffee With Karan, making Khushi and Karan burst into laughter.

Asked to spill each other’s secrets during the rapid-fire round, the sister duo broke into peals of laughter after Janhvi mockingly threatened Khushi, who was asked about Janhvi’s relationships, to stick to facts. “I’ve only dated three people, only stick to that,” Janhvi reminded Khushi, pointing a finger at her.

Khushi confessed to Karan that if there was a reality show based on the Kapoor family, it should be named The Walmart Kardashians. This made the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director come up with a sharp question, “Like, the sasta (cheap) version of the Kardashians?”

At the end of the teaser, Karan asks Janhvi what advice she would give Khushi about Ananya Panday if she were to work with other male actors. “Just don’t end up liking the same person,” pat came her reply, referring to a previous episode where it was revealed that someone ‘famous’ dated Sara Ali Khan, Ananya and Janhvi at the same time.

“We are starting off the new year with some crackling energy with the Kapoor sisters. For the first time ever, catch the sister duo - Janhvi & Khushi Kapoor, together on the latest episode of #KoffeeWithKaranS8💥😍,” Karan wrote, sharing the promo video on Instagram.

The 11th episode of Koffee With Karan, featuring Janhvi and Khushi, will stream on Disney+ Hotstar on January 4.
