Singer KK’s daughter Taamara has penned a heartfelt note on her late father’s 55th birth anniversary, saying she hopes to “eat cake together again sometime”.
“Happy birthday dad, love you more than I’ll ever be able to explain🌎❤️ Miss you so much, thanks for coming back to life at least in my dreams. I hope we can eat cake together again sometime,” she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
Taamara also shared an old picture of the father-daughter duo from the family album alongside the note. The picture shows Taamara receiving piano lessons from her dad while sitting on his lap.
KK, whose real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath, was best known for his songs such as Aankhon Mein Teri from Om Shanti Om (2007), Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Alvida from Life in a Metro (2007) and Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai from Gangster: A Love Story (2006). He sang more than 500 songs in Hindi and more than 200 songs in Telugu, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam over the course of his three-decade-long career.
The singer passed away on May 31, 2022, after his solo performance at Najrul Mancha in south Kolkata.
