Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’s (KKBKKJ) box office collections continued its downward slide on the sixth day after its release. The collections plummeted to Rs 4.5 crore nett on Wednesday, taking the total earnings of the Farhad Samji directorial so far to Rs 89 crore nett, according to Box Office India.
KKBKKJ, which released a day before Eid, had an average opening on April 21 with a collection of Rs 15.81 crore nett. But there was a jump in ticket sales over the weekend, with the film raking in Rs 52.36 crore nett. The collections, however, dropped on Monday to Rs 10.71 crore nett and further to Rs 7.25 crore nett on Tuesday.
Despite a lacklustre performance at the domestic box office, the Salman-starrer action drama has emerged as the second-highest opening day grosser of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (Rs 57 crore nett). It is likely to cross the Rs 100-crore milestone over the second weekend and will become the third Hindi film this year — after Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar — to achieve this feat.
KKBKKJ boasts of an ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Jassi Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Gill, Vijender Singh and Palak Tiwari. Salman’s Maine Pyar Kiya co-star Bhagyashree and RRR actor Ram Charan have cameos in the film.
Salman will return to the big screen this Diwali with YRF’s Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma. Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi will share screen space with him in the spy action thriller.
