Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Srikanth performed decently at the Indian box office on their first weekend, earning over Rs 11 crore each at the end of Day 3 in cinemas.
Wes Ball’s sci-fi saga Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, starring Owen Teague and Freya Allen, has minted Rs 11.77 crore nett in India so far, while the Tushar Hiranandani-helmed biographical drama Srikanth, led by Rajkummar Rao, raked in Rs 11.95 crore nett during the same period.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has grossed USD 129 million on its first weekend. This includes USD 56.5 million in the US and USD 72.5 million from international markets.
In India, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes began its box-office journey with an opening day collection of Rs 3.15 crore nett. The earnings jumped to Rs 4.37 crore nett on Saturday, followed by Rs 4.25 crore nett on Sunday.
Srikanth, on the other hand, minted Rs 2.25 crore nett on Day 1. This was followed by Rs 4.2 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 5.5 crore nett on Sunday.
