After Priyanka Chopra, it is Kiara Advani’s turn to glam up the underworld as she is roped in for Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming actioner Don 3, the makers announced via a video on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Welcome to the Don universe @kiaraaliaadvani #Don3,” production house Excel Entertainment captioned its post on Instagram.
Set to the franchise’s signature background score, the video unveils Kiara's entry into the Don universe. The film franchise debuted in 1978 with Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman in the lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra headlined the sequels in 2006 and 2011. Don 3, the franchise's fourth instalment, sees Ranveer Singh replacing Shah Rukh Khan as the male lead and Kiara joining as the female lead. Priyanka Chopra also features in the movie.
Kiara was last seen opposite Kartik Aaryan in Sameer Vidwans’s romantic drama film Satyaprem Ki Katha. Apart from featuring in S. Shankar’s Game Changer alongside Ram Charan, Kiara will also join the YRF Spy Universe action sequel War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan.
Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, will reprise his role as ACP Sangram Bhalerao a.k.a. Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, a sequel to the 2014 actioner Singham Returns.
Don 3 is slated to hit theatres in 2025.
