Tabu’s no-nonsense investigator, Ali Fazal’s suspected double agent and Wamiqa Gabbi’s homemaker get entangled in a dangerous cat-and-mouse chase in the trailer of Vishal Bhawdwag’s Netflix espionage thriller Khufiya.
Dropped on Monday, the two-minute-29-second-long trailer begins with Tabu’s investigator who thinks Ali Fazal’s character is a mole in the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Even the suspect’s wife, played by Wamiqa Gabbi, thinks that her husband has been selling top-secret information to enemies. Tabu and her team put the entire family of their suspect under strict surveillance. The video also shows Fazal’s character vowing that he’s a patriot and breaking out in a sinister chuckle, while his wife is seen fleeing with her child to a foreign country. The trailer is also filled with several names and references from British playwright William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar.
