Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu and Fardeen Khan’s fun game of spilling each other’s secrets at a get-together turned nasty in Mudassar Aziz’s Khel Khel Mein trailer dropped by the makers on Friday.
The trailer follows a group of seven friends who get together one evening and decide to play an unusual game of unravelling their secrets to their partners. It kicks off with the women joking about their partners having affairs, following which Vaani’s character proposes the idea of keeping everyone’s phones on the centre table for the night and replying to the texts or calls in front of the group.
A fun-filled yet anxiety-ridden night follows, with the men and women receiving flirty and sexual texts on their phones. At one point, Akshay, hilariously tries to create a rift between Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal after the latter finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her.
Other scenes show tension escalating between the couples and the group as a whole. The trailer, which also features Ammy Virk, ends with Akshay asking everyone if they still want to play the game after a night full of rage and revelations, prompting everyone to raise their hands in unison.
An adaptation of the 2017 Italian comedy-thriller Perfect Strangers, Khel Khel Mein is backed by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. Though it was initially slated to release in September, the movie will now hit theatres on August 15.
Khel Khel Mein will see Akshay reuniting withTaapsee Pannu after 2019’s Mission Mangal as well as with Vaani Kapoor after 2021’s Bell Bottom.
On the work front, Akshay will soon appear in Jolly LLB 3 and Welcome to the Jungle, while Taapsee is preparing for the highly-anticipated release of Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, the sequel to her 2021 Netflix film Haseen Dillruba.
