Actress Keerthy Suresh will headline Hombale Films’ first Tamil venture Raghuthatha, touted to be a comedy adventure drama, the production banner announced on Tuesday.
Sharing a small teaser on X (previously Twitter), Hombale Films wrote in the caption, “#RaghuThatha, the hilarious adventures of Kayalvizhi, coming soon to a cinema near you.” In the teaser, Keerthy appears in a vintage-style movie poster that is being carried by some people through a marketplace with much fanfare.
Keerthy also shared the teaser of the movie on social media. Written and directed by Suman Kumar, Raghuthatha will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
The actress, who shot to stardom with Priyadarshan’s 2013 horror film Geethanjali, recently earned rave reviews for her portrayal of the character of Vennala in Nani’s Dasara, a grim tale of revenge set in a small village near the Singareni coal mines in rural Telangana.
Keerthy last appeared on the big screen in Chiranjeevi-starrer actioner Bholaa Shankar this year. She will be next seen in YRF Entertainment’s period-thriller Akka alongside Radhika Apte.
