Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan congratulated new parents Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh following the birth of their baby girl on September 8, pouring love on the newborn.

Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday also extended their best wishes to the family on social media.

Shortly after Deepika and Ranveer announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram, celebrities and fans flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages. Bipasha Basu wrote, “Durga Durga. Blessings to the little bundle of love and many, many congratulations to you, Ranveer, and the family,” while Arjun Kapoor commented, “Laxmi aayi hai. The queen is here.”

Kriti Sanon, Shreya Ghoshal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao, Parineeti Chopra, Kajal Aggarwal and Armaan Malik also congratulated the new parents. Deepika’s Bajirao Mastani co-star Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas joined in.

“Sunshine and love to your little one.” Sonali Bendre wrote in the comments section of Deepika’s post. Tollywood actress Darshana Banik, along with Sonu Sood and Bhagyashree extended their best wishes to Deepika and Ranveer.

Deepika and Ranveer, who had tied the knot on November 14, 2018 in Italy, welcomed their first child on Sunday at a private hospital in Mumbai.

The actor couple had first announced their pregnancy on February 29, shortly after Deepika attended BAFTA 2024 as a presenter. The actor couple had shared an image of baby clothing and balloons on Instagram with ‘September 2024’ written across it, suggesting that they are expecting their first child in September.

Earlier this month, Deepika Padukone shared a series of monochrome stills from a recent maternity photoshoot with her husband Ranveer.

Later, on Friday, the couple visited Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, seeking Lord Ganesha's blessings. Several photos and videos of the Fighter actress, clad in a green saree and showing her baby bump, quickly went viral on social media.

On the work front, Deepika will soon appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which also stars Ranveer as ACP Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao. Additionally, the actress has been roped in for Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. Ranveer has also teamed up with R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal for a new film helmed by Aditya Dhar.
