Actress Katrina Kaif on Friday reviewed her husband Vicky Kaushal’s new romcom Bad Newz, saying that he always impresses her with his “ease” and “joy” on the screen.

“And it’s hereeee…just too much fun this was, bromance gets a new meaning with the Punjabi boys, effortless timing and chemistry,” the 41-year-old actress wrote alongside a poster of the film on her Instagram Story. “@vickykaushal09 u always amaze me with your ease and the joy you bring on screen,” she added, heaping praise on Vicky.

The Merry Christmas actress went on to say that she loved watching Ammy Virk in every scene of Bad Newz and described Triptii Dimri’s performance in the film with a starry-eyed emoji. She signed off by congratulating director Anand Tiwari and producers Karan Johar and Amritpal Singh Bindra.

Touted as “a comedy based on true events”, Bad Newz is backed by the makers of Raj Mehta’s Good Newwz (2019) in collaboration with Amazon Prime, Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective.

Developed from a screenplay by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja, Bad Newz wrapped up shooting last year and was originally titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.

Bad Newz revolves around a young woman Saloni Bagga (Triptii) who gets pregnant after having one-night stands with two different men, Akhil Chadha (Vicky) and Gurbir Pannu (Ammy). Things go downhill when Saloni is informed by her doctor that she is pregnant with twins and gets diagnosed with heteropaternal superfecundation.

“A crazy laugh riot which will show the outcomes of two sophisticated Punjabi men and a Christian-Hindu girl. One of the men has a one night stand with the girl and somehow, craziness happens when she is pregnant unexpectedly,” reads the official synopsis of the film as per IMDb.

Bad Newz also stars Neha Dhupia and Sheeba Chadha. Cameo appearances are made by Ananya Panday, Neha Sharma and Gajraj Rao in the film.
