The first teaser of upcoming horror-comedy Phone Bhoot starring Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi was released by the actors as well as its makers Excel Entertainment on Monday.

Sharing a quirky video along with the logo and theme song on social media on Monday, Excel Entertainment said that the release date of the film will be announced at 11am on Tuesday.

The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and directed by Mirzapur director Gurmmeet Singh. The horror-comedy is written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath.

Katrina Kaif, who is returning to screen after her marriage to Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi opposite Akshay Kumar. The 38-year-old actress on Monday shared the teaser on her official Instagram handle.

The Bang Bang actress will be seen in the film alongside two of the young Bollywood actors, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Ishaan will return to the screen after a hiatus of two years. He was last seen in Khaali Peeli opposite Ananya Panday and also starred in the BBC television drama A Suitable Boy. The 26-year-old shared the teaser of Phone Bhoot on Instagram.

Siddhant Chaturvedi, who made a name for himself with Gully Boy will be seen in Phone Bhoot after Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan, where he played the lead role opposite Deepika Padukone. The 29-year-old also shared the teaser of his upcoming film on social media.

Excel Entertainment announced the film in 2021 and shared an image on Instagram of the leading trio. They captioned it, “Darna allowed hai, as long as you’re laughing along the way. #PhoneBhoot, ringing in cinemas near you in 2022.”
