Kartik Aaryan-starrer Chandu Champion is now available to stream on Prime Video, the streamer announced on Friday, sharing a poster of the sports biopic on social media.
“A story of resilience and triumph against all odds - witness the story of a champion who never gave up #ChanduChampionOnPrime, Watch Now,” Prime Video wrote on X on Friday.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion is based on the heroic story of Murlikant Petkar, a boxer whose lower body was paralysed after he suffered nine bullet injuries in a skirmish during the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war. He recovered from his life-altering injuries and went on to become the country's first paralympic gold medallist in swimming.
Also starring Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma and Rajpal Yadav, the film was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan.
Despite earning positive reviews, Chandu Champion couldn't perform well at the box office. The movie managed to gross Rs 74.35 crore in India and Rs 13.79 crore overseas, taking the worldwide total to Rs 88.14 crore.
Recently, Kartik Aaryan wrapped up shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, a horror comedy also starring Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the actor is set to reprise his role as Rooh Baba.
