Actor Kartik Aaryan learnt professional boxing techniques besides undergoing a physical transformation for his upcoming film Chandu Champion, he and his fitness coach revealed in an Instagram video on Wednesday.

“I would like to say that it took a lot of effort and you guys have made me work harder. So, thank you for that. And hopefully, in the upcoming days or weeks, you will get a glimpse of what went into the preparations to become a true champion,” Kartik said in the video dropped by his personal trainer Tridev Pandey on Instagram.

In the video, the duo can be seen travelling in a car. “So keep following. Whatever we have done for the transformation, very few people have attempted it. We have not only built the body but also garnered the skills including boxing techniques, which you will rarely see anyone doing,” Tridev says. The video ends with Kartik quoting his dialogue from the upcoming film, saying, “Champion hai main.”

“Are you all pumped for 14th June? We sure are! #ChanduChampion @kartikaaryan,” Tridev captioned the video.

In March, Tridev revealed how Kartik has not missed a single workout session since wrapping up the shoot for Chandu Champion.

Throughout the shooting process, Kartik actively shared moments from his workout sessions which showcase his dedication towards his physical transformation. A video shared by the actor in October last year shows him racing with Tridev and outrunning the latter. “Chasing Goals #ChanduChampion 🫶🏻,” Kartik captioned the reel.

Kartik also shared a video of him working out at a gym while an elderly woman lifted weights beside him. “Dadi on fire 🔥🔥Don’t focus on me…but focus on the Champion behind me,” the 33-year-old actor wrote, adding that she always works out in the gym and is an inspiration for him.

The actor had previously revealed that he tasted sugar for the first time in a year after wrapping up the shoot of Chandu Champion as he had adhered to a year-long sugar-free diet.

“This RasMalai Tasted Like Victory! Finally eating sugar after a year!! After more than a year of intense preparation and 8 months of day-n-night shoots across the globe, today we complete the shooting journey of #ChanduChampion,” Kartik wrote alongside a video of him taking a bite of rasmalai given to him by director Kabir Khan to celebrate the shoot wrap.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion is slated to hit theatres on June 14.
