Actor Kartik Aaryan, who has been garnering positive reviews for his performance in the psychological thriller Freddy, says it was a challenging task for him to get into the skin of his character Dr Freddy Ginwala, a shy and reserved dentist.

Riding high on the success of the film streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, Kartik said, “I am extremely overjoyed by the kind of response I have been receiving for Freddy. It was indeed a very tough character that has come my way but I enjoyed the process of achieving the intensity.”

The 32-year-old, who successfully delivered a spine-chilling performance in the Shashanka Ghosh-directed film, says he enjoys experimenting with his character and Freddy gave him that opportunity..

“I always like to experiment with my characters and I am glad that the audience loved the performance and accepted Freddy, the way we really wanted this character to come out. As an actor, it feels truly amazing to know that people are accepting me in this shade too as I have tried my hand at this genre for the first time," says Kartik.

Kartik has Shehzada, Aashiqui 3 and Satya Prem Ki Katha lined up for release.
