Karthi thanked Hollywood actor John Cena, who is also a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) performer, for making him “feel special” as the duo met at a special WWE event in Hyderabad on Friday.
The Ponniyin Selvan: II actor took to X (previously Twitter) to share an image with the Peacemaker, who was seen in his wrestling persona shaking hands. The image subsequently went viral on social media.
“A great pleasure meeting you @JohnCena . Thank you for being so kind and warm. It’s wonderful how you could make everyone feel special in those few minutes. Hustle Loyalty Respect - felt all of that :) #WWESuperstarSpectacle Hyderabad,” he captioned the image.
The official X account of WWE also shared a video of Cena at the event. “This moment is far greater than I could have ever imagined” ❤️🥹,” the actor is heard saying in front of the ecstatic Indian fans at Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.
WWE performer Natte also shared some glimpses from the event last night on her X account.“Thank you, India!!!!!!!!! 💚,” he wrote in the caption.
Wrestler Sami Zyan thanked Indian fans for their love as he shared a video of fans going wild at his entrance along with fellow WWE performer Kevin Owens during the event. “The Crowd in Hyderabad was absolutely incredible tonight, probably a top 5 crowd I’ve worked for. Deafening. Kevin & I were standing 2 feet apart, screaming, and couldn’t hear each other. Thanks for the love, India. What an honor and a privilege,” he wrote alongside the clip.
