Kareena Kapoor Khan wished her elder sister Karisma Kapoor on the latter’s 50th birthday on Tuesday by sharing a video montage featuring their childhood moments alongside a heartfelt note underlining Karisma’s love for coffee, chic bags, long conversations and Chinese food.
“Happy birthday to my ultimate Hero. 50 is the new 30 gurllll. Big breakfasts, lots of coffee and aperols, chic bags, long conversations with me, laughter and dancing, chinese food, and all the time with your two babies forever. That’s what I wish for you,” Kareena captioned her post on Instagram.
The video features childhood pictures of Kareena and Karisma with their parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita. One of the stills shows baby Karisma smiling at the lens. Another picture features Karisma in her school uniform. The montage also includes more recent pictures of Karisma spending time with Kareena’s sons, Taimur and Jeh, as well as photos of the two sisters twinning in saris and striped shirts. One of the stills shows Kareena and Karisma posing with their father, Randhir. The video also features a selfie of the sisters with their mother, Babita. Additionally, the footage contains solo pictures of Karisma.
Kareena’s sister-in-law Saba Pataudi also reacted to the video.
Karisma returned to acting after a 12-year break with Homi Adajania’s Netflix thriller Murder Mubarak, also starring Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Suhail Nayyar. Produced by Maddock Films, Murder Mubarak premiered on the streamer on March 15.
Kareena, on the other hand, was last seen in Rajesh A. Krishnan’s heist comedy Crew, also featuring Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The 43-year-old actress will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming action thriller Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.
