Actress Kareena Kapoor on Thursday teased her OTT debut in a hilarious promo video shared in collaboration with Netflix India, promising to appear in an all-new avatar that would be different from the popular characters she has essayed on the big screen in her over two-decade-long career.

“It’s a secret I can’t wait to tell ,” the 42-year-old wrote alongside the video on Instagram.

The video opens with Kareena listening to project pitches in her living room. The first filmmaker floats an idea titled “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gun”, suggesting that Kareena’s Poo will turn a policewoman and hide her gun in her heels in the film. “You have no right to look so guilty. How dare you?” says Kareena, imitating her own voice as Poo from the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. She, however, turns down the spin-off idea.

Then two other men pitch a sci-fi thriller titled “Kal We Met” in which Geet from the film Jab We Met time-travels and falls in love with her future version. Kareena rejects this idea. It is then followed by stupid offers for projects like “Poo-key Blinders”, “Phal We Met”, “Jab We Pet”, “Too Poo To Handle” and “Mujhse Heist Karoge”.

The video shows Kareena getting frustrated to discover that people can only imagine her in characters that the actress has already played in the past. Eventually, she gets an offer of a thriller, which has romance and is set in a mysterious location with Kareena in a never-before-seen avatar.

The video was also shared by Netflix India on YouTube with the tagline “Thriller pe romance muft muft muft! And looks like Kareena Kapoor Khan approves .”

The actress stars alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in Sujoy Ghosh’s adaptation of the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X, which will mark her debut in the OTT space on Netflix.
