Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has teamed up with AA Films to release Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Devara Part 1 across north India, the production house announced on Wednesday.
“Brace yourself for a mass hurricane! We are proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema! Man of Masses Jr NTR’s #Devara - in cinemas 10th October, 2024,” the production banner wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the film and a picture of Karan with the creative minds behind Devara, including Jr. NTR.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara Part 1, initially slated to release on April 5, will now hit theatres on October 10 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Apart from Jr NTR, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain and Murali Sharma. Saif Ali Khan plays the main antagonist in the film, which marks Janhvi Kapoor’s Telugu debut.
The soundtrack for the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
On October 4, 2023, filmmaker Koratala Siva had revealed in a video on X (formerly Twitter) that Devara will be released in two parts in order to explore the story with more “depth and detail”.
