Karan Johar’s children Yash and Roohi tried their hand at beatboxing recently, shows a video shared by the filmmaker on Wednesday.
“Not sure this is beat boxing! But marks for effort always! They are born to a dada who has zilch musical talent and can’t sing or play an instrument! So am hoping beyond hope I haven’t transferred my musical genes,” the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director wrote alongside the video shared on Instagram.
The video kicks off with Karan asking Yash whether he can beatbox. But they are interrupted by Roohi, who says she can beatbox as well. After showcasing his talent, Yash feels a bit embarrassed as he covers his face with his palm.
Next, Karan moves on to Roohi, whose beatboxing garnered comments saying that she outshone her brother. “I’m not sure this is beatboxing,” Karan says at the end, while Roohi continues to try some beats.
“As long as they don’t dance like u, it's all good! Cutiesss,” filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan Kunder, Karan’s longtime friend, wrote in the comments section. Mirzapur actor Ali Fazal wrote, “Cutiessssssssssssss.”
Fashion designer Manish Malhotra dropped red heart emojis, while Bhavana Pandey wrote, “❤️❤️ It is😂.”
Karan had welcomed Yash and Roohi through surrogacy in February 2017.
On the work front, Karan is all set to co-produce Vasan Bala’s thriller Jigra starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, slated to release in September. He recently produced Sagar Ambre and Muhammad Asif Ali’s Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna under the banner of Dharma Productions. His upcoming production ventures include action thriller Kill starring Lakshya and Tanya Maniktala and sports drama Mr and Mrs Mahi starring Rajkummar Rao-Janhvi Kapoor.
