Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced the premiere date of the eighth season of his popular chat show Koffee With Karan with a teaser on Wednesday.

The celebrity chat show will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from October 26.

In the teaser shared on his Instagram handle, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director is seen engaged in a banter with his ‘Konscience’. “Turns out, my own Konscience wants to troll me too!😤 But screw what he thinks, I’m still brewing Season 8!🥳,” Karan captioned the video.

The video begins with Karan reclining on a sofa when his conscience with a K, appears before him. Konscience mocks Karan for the ‘meh’ conversations in the seventh season of the chat show, saying, “You could’ve called it Cold Koffee with Karan.” It goes on to roast Karan, “All the episodes were the same. A 50-year old man asking 20-year olds about their sex lives. Lame! Is it because you don’t have a sex life of your own?”

Towards the end of the video, Karan reveals his plan for making the eighth season better. “I’m going to invite the newest married couple in town. I won’t call star kids. I will call star grandkids. I’ll invite cricketers… no no… never, never,” adding, “I’m brewing Season 8 and it is going to be great.”

Soon after Karan shared the video, his industry colleagues and fans flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, expressing their excitement for the upcoming season.
