Comedian Kapil Sharma and his team have shared pictures celebrating the success of their new Netflix show The Great Indian Kapil Show, which is currently trending at number 8 on the streamer’s weekly list of the 10 most-watched non-English TV shows globally.

“Netflix + trending globally = party,” Kapil wrote alongside a set of pictures on Instagram on Friday.

Also featuring Archana Puran Singh and Sunil Grover, Kapil appears in the photos in a printed white shirt, paired with quirky shades. While Sunil slays in a beige shirt and ripped jeans, Archana is seen posing in a yellow-and-black ensemble.

Sunil clicked a selfie with the cast and crew of the new show. In 2017, the actor had left Kapil’s previous show following a mid-air altercation with the latter. However, they have reconciled since then. In the debut episode of the The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sunil played a female character Dafli, reminiscent of his role as Gutthi on Colors TV's Comedy Nights with Kapil.

While the show’s team celebrates their new show's success, Netflix's data indicates a decline in viewership. The premiere episode with Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni garnered 2.5 million views. In the second week, the number of viewers increased slightly to 2.6 million views. However, with the third episode's release, the show dropped to the eighth position, amassing only 1.7 million views. The fourth episode, featuring the Kaushal brothers — Vicky and Sunny — garnered only 1.2 million views, causing the show to slip to number 8 on the Top 10 chart.

This week on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil will be hosting actor Aamir Khan.
