Kannada film Kantara, written and directed by Rishab Shetty, is going from strength to strength at the box office. Kantara (all languages) has grossed a humongous collection of Rs 289.21 crore in 31 days. Out of this, the domestic market has contributed Rs 268.21 crore gross (all languages), while Rs 21 crore gross came from overseas. The film is now on the cusp of hitting the Rs 300 crore mark.

The Hindi-dubbed version of Kantara grossed Rs 1.27 crore on the very first day —- October 14 —- in the Hindi market. It saw an outstanding jump in the range of 40-50 per cent in collections the following week. The movie has collected Rs 42.95 crore at the end of Week 2.

Owing largely to word-of-mouth, Kantara is standing strong in the third week too. On October 28, Kantara collected Rs 2.75 crore, followed by Rs 4.1 crore on October 29. On October 30, the film saw the highest-ever collection since its release, grossing Rs 4.4 crore in the Hindi market.

Starring Kishore and Achyuth Kumar in key roles, Kantara is a film intended for pure mass entertainment. It is a perfect culmination of craft, culture, and technical brilliance at display. The Rishab Shetty directorial is worthy of every piece of accolade and appreciation it is receiving from all quarters.
