Kantara actor-director Rishab Shetty and co-actor Sapthami Gowda attended the Bhoota Kola Festival, an annual dance ritual held to worship local spirits and deities in rural Karnataka, on Thursday.
The festival shot to fame after Rishab’s horror-thriller movie, which was inspired by the dance ritual, went on to become a blockbuster.
Hombale Films, the production house behind Kantara, posted a video showing Rishab along with his Kantara co-star Sapthami Gowda at the festival. “You surrender to the nature & worship the God, who has bestowed you with such success and freedom in life. #Kantara team witnessed the divine in real form & took the blessings of Daiva!”
Kantara, originally released in Kannada on September 30, was a sleeper hit last year. The film, which was later released in Hindi on October 30, grossed Rs 400 crore worldwide.
