Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2: Zero Tolerance is set to hit theatres on July 12, the actor-filmmaker announced on Sunday, sharing a set of new posters of the sequel to his 1996 vigilante action movie on X (formerly Twitter).
The new posters show Kamal riding on horseback through a vast desert with an axe in his hand. ““#Indian2 Releasing worldwide in cinemas 12th July 2024! #1stSingleFromIndian2,” he captioned his post on X.

Kamal reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter-turned-vigilante who resolves to fight against corruption, in the upcoming movie directed by S. Shankar, who directed the original film as well.
Also starring Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek and Priya Bhavani Shankar in key roles, Indian 2 will be released in three languages — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Jawan music director Anirudh Ravichander will score music for the movie.
Another poster dropped by production house Lyca Productions on Sunday features Kamal in white as he towers above small black silhouettes in the background. “Gear up for the comeback of Senapathy. INDIAN-2 is all set to storm in cinemas this JUNE. Mark your calendar for the epic saga,” the makers wrote on X.
