Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2: Zero Tolerance is set to stream on Netflix from August 9 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages, the streaming platform has announced.

“Buckle up. Indian Thatha is back to take on the system again.#Indian2 is coming to Netflix on 9 August in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada! #Indian2OnNetflix,” the streaming platform wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the film.

A sequel to S. Shankar’s 1996 vigilante action film of the same name, the Tamil-language movie hit theatres on July 12. Haasan reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter-turned-vigilante who resolves to fight against corruption, in the movie.

Jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, Indian 2 also features Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek and Priya Bhavani Shankar in key roles. Jawan music director Anirudh Ravichander has served as the music composer for the songs in the film. The action-thriller grossed Rs 148.75 crore at the global box office, according to industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk.

Kamal Haasan, who recently starred in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, will be next seen in the forthcoming chapter of Indian film series, officially named Indian 3 – War Mode, with a release scheduled for 2025.
