A compilation of actor-director Kamal Haasan’s columns, written for Tamil magazine Maiam from 1987 to 1990, will be launched during the 47th Chennai Book Fair, to be held between January 3 and 21.
Named Maiam- Selected Works, the new book will trace the 1980s and 1990s when Hasaan used to write for the Tamil magazine to showcase his views on society. Along with Hasaan’s articles, the book also features works of other writers.
Renowned for his acclaimed roles in Apoorva Sagodharargal, Chanakyan, and Indrudu Chandrudu, Hasaan was last seen in the 2022 blockbuster Vikram. He is currently gearing up for Indian 2, which also features Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth in key roles.
Kamal Hasaan will be portrayed as an old freedom fighter turned into a vigilante Senapathy. The film is scheduled to be released in 2024, but the definite release date and other details are yet to be announced.
