Kalvan

The official teaser of Tamil-language film Kalvan, directed by P.V. Shankar and produced by G. Dilli Babu, is now out. The film stars G.V. Prakash Kumar, Bharathi Raja, Ivana, Dheena, G. Gnanasambandam and Vinoth Munna.

In the one-minute-34-second-long teaser, we see a village near a forest which is regularly visited by wild elephants. One day a massive elephant wreaks havoc on the village, destroys property and leaves people injured. The teaser also shows glimpses of a love story, the caste divide and the mistreatment of the authorities.

History of the World Part 2

Hulu on Saturday finally unveiled the teaser of History of the World, Part II, four decades after the original. The eight-episode sketch series, helmed by 96-year-old filmmaker Mel Brooks, will take a tour through the past. Brookes also stars in the series along with Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes and Ike Barinholtz. Its star-studded guest cast includes Josh Gad, Taika Waititi, Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Robinson, Seth Rogen, Sarah Silverman and Timothy Simons.

The one-minute-54-second-long teaser showcases historical figures like Jesus, Noah, Harriet Tubman, Sigmund Freud, Amelia Earhart, Abraham Lincoln, Alexander Graham Bell and Marco Polo. The series holds the distinct comic sensibility of Brooks, who helmed classics such as Young Frankestine, The Producers and Spaceballs.

History of the World, Part II will be streaming on Hulu on four consecutive nights starting from March 6.

Boomerang

East Coast on Friday late evening dropped the official trailer of the upcoming Malayalam-language film Boomerang. Directed by Manu Sudhakaran, the movie features Shine Tom Chacko, Samyuktha Menon, Chemban Vinod Jose and Baiju Santhosh. It is produced by Ajji Medayyil and Thoufeek R.

In the one-minute-46-second-long trailer, we are introduced to three men who are seeking love in their lives. One of them is a police officer who is not happy in his married life. We also see a gun-wielding woman at the end of the trailer.

Boomerang will hit the theatres on February 3.

Raju Yadav

The official teaser of the Telugu-language romantic comedy film Raju Yadav was shared by Aditya Music on Saturday. Written and directed by Krishnamachary. K and produced by Prashanth Reddy, the film stars Getup Srinu, Ankita Kharat, Ananda Chakrapani, Rocket Raghava, Mirchi Hemanth, Jabardasth Sunny, Santosh Kalwacherla, Sriram, Kalyan Bhushan, Sree Mani, Pawon Ramesh, Uthara Prashanth and Avinash Sunkara.

The two-minute-four-second-long teaser introduces us to the titular character, who after a cricket-related accident has been left with a smiling face. This makes his life miserable, especially when he falls in love. He then embarks on a journey of a lifetime with pent-up emotions and frustration.

Raju Yadav will arrive in cinemas in March.
