Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD ended its second week in theatres with a total collection of Rs 543.45 crore nett at the domestic box office, as per industry data-tracking platform Sacnilk.
Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, Kalki 2898 AD opened strong in India, earning Rs 95.3 crore nett on its opening day. By the end of its first week, the dystopian thriller amassed Rs 414.85 crore nett.
The movie kicked off its second week in theatres with a Rs 16.7 crore nett collection on Friday. Over the second weekend, the film added another Rs 78.5 crore nett to its earnings and went on to earn an additional Rs 33.4 crore nett during the weekdays.
The Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD remains the top performer among all languages, earning Rs 253.85 crore nett. The Hindi-dubbed version collected Rs 232.9 crore nett, while the Tamil version brought in Rs 32.2 crore nett. The Kannada and Malayalam versions contributed Rs 4.5 crore nett and Rs 20 crore nett, respectively.
Kalki 2898 AD is also performing well globally, having surpassed the Rs 900-crore mark in worldwide gross collections on Day 12.
