Kalki 2898 AD producer Chalasani Aswini Dutt has penned a note for Amitabh Bachchan a day after the Bollywood veteran shocked fans by touching Dutt’s feet at a pre-release event for the Nag Ashwin directorial in Mumbai.

"Nothing is higher or taller than the invincible Shri Amitabh ji. Such moments from yesterday's event are quite unexpected and shockingly puzzling. His utmost love for me must have pushed him to do what he did," wrote Chalasani on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, emphasizing his deep reverence and admiration for the actor.

"I reciprocate to Shri Amitabh ji's gesture in humility with his highest sense of magnanimity. Amitabh ji is a valorous warrior of Indian cinema beyond time and the tallest of all the rows of Himalayas," added Chalasani, acknowledging how Bachchan’s influence on Indian cinema has transcended generations.

The 74-year-old producer expressed a profound sense of honour, gratitude and humility in response to Bachchan’s unexpected gesture at the event. Shedding light on his deep personal connection with the actor, Chalasani mentioned, "Few moments in life are sacred emblems of eternal bond and such was his gesture of purity yesterday. I do, solemnly, salute to his ultimate exhibition of ethereal touch."

"Kudos to Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji, the legend of all centuries," Chalasani signed off.

The video of Amitabh touching the producer’s feet at the pre-release event has gone viral on social media.

The pre-release event was also attended by Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and director Nag Ashwin. "Smiles all over. Here are a few candid clicks from the #Kalki2898AD pre-release event in Mumbai," wrote production house Vyjayanthi Movies on Instagram, sharing a bunch of pictures from the event.

Slated to arrive in cinemas on June 27, Kalki 2898 AD also stars Disha Patani as Roxie.
