Prabhas’ Bhairava navigates a dystopian world with a little help from his AI-driven friend Bujji in a fresh teaser of Kalki 2898 AD, dropped by production house Vyjayanthi Movies on Wednesday.

Much like Jennifer Lopez’s character in Netflix’s Atlas, who relies on an AI program, Bhairava’s success against antagonists depends on this futuristic vehicle in Nag Ashwin Reddy’s upcoming sci-fi epic.

At the beginning, we see both Bhairava and Bujji sharing a moment with the latter taunting Prabhas’ protagonist about the slim chances of success. The teaser ends with clips of Bujji racing through a vast desert littered with carcasses of other gadgets.

Following the release of the video on social media, a teaser-launch event introduced Bujji to fans in Hyderabad. Vyjayanthi Movies shared pictures from the event on their Instagram stories.

Slated to arrive in cinemas on June 27, Kalki 2898 AD also stars Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan. A teaser video recently dropped by the makers shows the 81-year-old actor essaying the character of Ashwatthama, the immortal son of Drona from the Mahabharata.

“From the biggest battle of the previous Yuga, to the final battle of the present Yuga. Introducing the legendary @amitabhbachchan as immortal ‘ASHWATTHAMA’ from #Kalki2898AD,” production house Vyjayanthi Movies had written on Instagram, sharing the teaser video on April 21.

Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan will also play key roles in the film. Santhosh Narayanan serves as the music composer of Kalki 2898 AD, while the cinematography is done by Djordje Stojiljkovic.
