The makers of the upcoming mythological-sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD unveiled the first look of Amitabh Bachchan’s character from the film on the veteran actor’s 81st birthday on Wednesday.
"It's an honour to be part of your journey and witness your greatness. Happy Birthday @SrBachchan sir – Team #Kalki2898AD," the official handle of production banner Vyjayanthi Movies captioned the photo.
The poster shows Bachchan in an awe-inspiring avatar as a sage, standing proudly within what appears to be the depths of a mystical cave. Rays of sunshine gracefully illuminate the scene, falling right on top of the actor. Bachchan's striking transformation for the role is evident in his bearded look. In a touch of mystique, only his eyes are visible, creating an aura of intrigue and anticipation among the viewers.
Helmed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD boasts a star-studded cast, including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, who will play leading characters in the movie alongside Amitabh. Previously referred to as Project K, the film has generated a buzz with its fusion of mythological and science fiction elements.
