Disha Patani’s first character poster as Roxie from Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD was dropped by the makers on Thursday to mark the actress’ 32nd birthday.
“Wishing our Roxie, @dishapatani a very Happy Birthday. #Kalki2898AD,” production house Vyjayanthi Movies wrote on Instagram alongside the poster.
The poster shows Disha flaunting her toned body in a monochrome ensemble. The actress sports a black cropped leather jacket worn over a beige bralette. Waist garters, matching leather pants and knee-high boots complete her look in the poster. Disha leans against a doorway overlooking the deck of a ship.
Dropped by the makers on Monday, the trailer of Kalki 2898 AD revealed that Disha would have many fierce action sequences in the film.
Directed by Nag Ashwin Reddy, the upcoming dystopian sci-fi epic will feature Prabhas as a bounty hunter.
Slated to arrive in cinemas on June 27, Kalki 2898 AD also stars Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama, the immortal son of Drona from the Mahabharata.
Mum-to-be Deepika Padukone plays a pregnant woman, Tollywood actor Saswata Chatterjee portrays a despot and Kamal Haasan essays the role of a seer in the film.
Santhosh Narayanan serves as the music composer of Kalki 2898 AD, while the cinematography is done by Djordje Stojiljkovic.
Disha was last seen in Dharma Productions’ Yodha alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Raashii Khanna. The actress is set to make her Tamil cinema debut with Siva’s Kanguva, also featuring Suriya, Bobby Deol, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu and Yogi Babu. Kanguva is scheduled to release theatrically later this year.
