Actress Kajol wished her husband Ajay Devgn on the latter’s 55th birthday with her classic humour, sharing a photo of a serious-looking Ajay in a white, full-sleeve t-shirt and sunglasses.
“Since I know ur soooooo excited about ur birthday that ur jumping up and down like a kid and clapping ur hands and turning in circles at the thought of your cake 🤪… lemme start the day off by wishing u a very very very happy birthday @ajaydevgn,” Kajol wrote on Instagram, poking fun at Ajay’s reserved and serious persona.
In a follow up edit to the post, Kajol added, “PS:- if anybody has a video of him doing any of this pls send it to me immediately 🙏.”
The couple, who have starred together in nine movies, are known for their polar opposite personalities with Kajol being the humorous one and Ajay being the serious one.
The actress’ sister Tanishaa Mukerji also shared a post marking her brother-in-law’s big day. She posted a picture of herself with Ajay, Kajol and the couple’s son Yug Devgn. “Happy Birthday Jay ….jaaa! Thank u for always being about family and teaching me so much with ur actions. Here’s to us always squishing u in pics,” she captioned her post.
Aside from close family, the actor also received heartfelt wishes from his friends. Kareena Kapoor posted a picture of the actor with the message, “Happy Birthday Bajirao Singham. No one like you… Tons of love always @ajaydevgn.”
Kareena and Ajay have co-starred in a number of movies including Omkara as well as the Singham and Golmaal franchises.
Director Rohit Shetty, who has been friends with Ajay for over 20 years, posted a photo of the duo on his Instagram stories calling the Singham actor his “big brother”. Rohit and Ajay spoke at length about their friendship on Season 8 of Koffee with Karan.
Boney Kapoor took to X (formerly Twitter) to wish the actor, “With his passion for cinema, versatility in roles, powerhouse performances and commitment to his art, Ajay has emerged as one of most valuable actors in our country. Ajay’s upcoming film Maidaan, a biopic on India’s pioneering football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, is produced by Boney.
In 2024, Ajay is set to star in a number of movies including Singham Again and Raid 2.
